Using eduroam on Windows
Log on to eduroam using Windows XP
Windows XP does not have the security certificate service needed to connect to Eduroam. However, the SecureW2 package comes with certificates, so it's the way to setup Eduroam. Please note that it may not work if you do not have the most recent version of the Service Pack for the version of Windows you're running. This Client also works with Windows 7 if needed.
- Retrieve the SecureW2 client from www.gbar.dtu.dk/downloads (The client has been preconfigured, you only have to install it)
- Follow the onscreen installation guide. (You may have to reboot afterwards)
- When you attempt to connect to the Eduroam network, you should be presented with the following prompt:
- Fill out the information and press ok. NB! It is importabt that you only write @dtu.dk, NOT @student.dtu.dk or so alike.
Now you should be able to connect to eduroam just like any other network on your XP machine.
